Former Canaries player Ian Henderson could find himself playing against City in what is sure to be a highly-charged clash at Colchester later this month.

The 24-year-old has been training with the Us, with manager Aidy Boothroyd confirming that he will sign once clearance has been received by the Turkish FA.

Henderson, from Thetford, has returned to England following an unsuccessful short-term spell with Turkish side Ankaragucu.

Boothroyd wants Henderson - who came through the ranks at City and made 79 appearances before leaving in the summer of 2007 - as a replacement for loan player Kevin Lisbie, who has returned to Ipswich.

Henderson has been training with Colchester and was with the squad for Saturday's trip to Preston - when they were hammered 7-0.
