Chris Hughton wants Norwich City's fans to play their part again and help turn Carrow Road into a cauldron of noise against the Baggies.

The clap banners will be out in force in home areas this afternoon after a winning return against Sunderland in the last crucial Premier League home test. Hughton knows his players must match the intensity and ferocity generated by the majority in another Carrow Road sell-out to boost their survival prospects.

'The biggest factor is what we produce on the pitch and we have a responsibility to put in a performance that gets a fabulous support firmly behind us. They've got to like what they see, but anything to boost the noise is welcome,' said Hughton.

'We used them on three occasions last season, along with Sunderland recently, and I remember the West Brom game here was a super atmosphere at a key stage of the season. We'll need that. Carrow Road is an intimidating place. We needed that at Sunderland and we got it.

'I think Alex Tettey mentioned the noise after the game and he would because he scored a super goal, but we are very conscious that we are looking for those very small percentages in our favour. We have put pressure on our home performances, but in the pressure moments they have responded. These are the ones where players need to be counted and we have to be strong and aggressive.'
