The Norwich City anger was written on Christoph Zimmermann's face – now it's all about how they use it.
The Canaries' season lurched from disappointment to crisis following their 2-1 home defeat to Brentford, spurning chances and ultimately leaving Carrow Road to the sound of boos and the realisation a relegation battle could be round the corner.
A first-half brace from the Bees' Danish hit man Lasse Vibe rendered Nelson Oliveira's late strike a mere consolation – with festive trips to relegation-haunted Birmingham and Burton to come before 2017 is done.
'Of course we're angry,' said Zimmermann. 'Someone told me it's one win in 10 games and you get annoyed a bit because you miss the winning feeling that makes you happy and gives you some positive energy.

'Everybody has the right to be angry but it's up to us what we make of that and what we turn this anger into over the next games.
'Everybody hoped the Sheffield Wednesday win might have been a turning point. But we knew the upcoming games would still be hard. Nobody underestimated the game at Leeds and especially not Brentford, because we all knew what it was about.
'It's just annoying not to get more than these results and not being able to start something to get the feeling back we had after the first international break.
'It really is annoying to always talk about being disappointed and we need to stop this feeling because it's tough to have this for several weeks in a row.

'In the last games we still had good performances but the results weren't fitting. But for this one, there were some periods in the game that were totally not what we consider to be our football and that made us really weak.'
As for the acrimony – boos directed at players, coaches and most pointedly the Canaries boardroom – Zimmermann had little complaints for their part in proceedings.
'Certainly I think everyone can imagine the mood is pretty angry, disappointed and I think everybody in the club – especially the fans – has the right to be disappointed and angry with us,' the German centre-back added, having come on at half-time for the injured Grant Hanley.
'I can totally understand their reaction because they're coming here with some expectations. They want to see a good game and see us get some good points, and I think we underperformed.'
