There were plenty of chances at both ends but it was a fortunate goal which consigned Norwich City to a 1-0 loss at Charlton in an entertaining final game of pre-season.

The Canaries were fortunate to not be behind after a sloppy first half but the game was won in the 59th minute after a Jake Forster-Caskey shot from the edge of the area deflected off Grant Hanley and trickled past the wrong-footed Tim Krul.
