Championship clubs are battling to sign Norwich City striker Chris Martin, according to reports.

Martin made just four Premier League appearances for the Canaries last season before joining Crystal Palace on loan, where he scored seven times in 28 appearances.

The Eagles are reported to be one of the clubs eager to sign Martin, with an asking price of 450,000 quoted in previous stories.

But Burnley, Birmingham, Millwall and relegated Bolton have also been linked with the Beccles-born striker, who has scored 34 times in 114 games for City.

The 23-year-old has one year left on his Carrow Road deal, however, and it remains to be seen whether a change of manager would affect his first team future.
