The Canaries will reportedly demand £25m for young sensation James Maddison this summer.

The Mirror claim on Tuesday Tottenham and Chelsea will have to stump up that figure in a battle to land the England Under-21 international, who has scored 14 goals and created 10 assists in a breakthrough season at Carrow Road.

Maddison was linked with a host of top flight suitors in the January transfer window, and that speculation is set to intensify ahead of the summer.

Tottenham have been long-term admirers, with Maddison heavily linked to both Spurs and Liverpool when he opted to join Norwich from Coventry City in January 2016.

The 21-year-old is currently with the Young Lions squad preparing for Tuesday night’s key European Championship qualifier against the Ukraine at Bramall Lane.

Maddison earned his second U21 cap at the weekend, in the 2-1 friendly win over Romania, after forcing his way into Aidy Boothroyd’s national set-up following a stunning season at club level.

The former Sky Blues’ starlet has won a series of individual awards over recent months and carved his place in East Anglian derby folklore with the winner at Portman Road earlier this campaign.

City’s top brass were determined to hold onto Maddison in the January window, but with the final tranche of parachute payments set to run out at the end of this season, Maddison is the club’s prized asset.
