Chelsea’s highly-rated midfielder Kasey Palmer is being tracked by Norwich City and Championship rivals Sheffield United
The Daily Mail report the 21-year-old has been the subject of enquiries from both clubs over a potential season-long loan switch from Stamford Bridge.
Palmer was a key figure in the Huddersfield set-up that won promotion in 2017, when City sporting director Stuart Webber was instrumental in his recruitment.
Palmer returned to the Terriers last season before a frustrating loan stint at Derby but the Chelsea starlet is set for a fresh short term switch to the Football League this summer.
City sold Alex Pritchard to the Terriers in January before Wes Hoolahan left the club at the end of the season and Moritz Leitner returned to parent club FC Augsburg.
Norwich’s top brass have targeted attacking reinforcements, with Holstein Kiel’s on loan forward Marvin Ducksch on the radar but reports in Germany on Tuesday afternoon suggested City will miss out on the Bundesliga Two top scorer who is believed to be attracting serious interest from the German top flight.
