Group Football Editor Paddy Davitt has posted his marks following the Canaries’ spirited 2-1 Championship win at Rotherham.

Here is Paddy’s verdict on Daniel Farke’s men, who turned the clock back to the title winning season with a late, late show to cap a dramatic comeback.

• Tim Krul

Routine heroics now from the penalty spot to outwit Freddie Ladapo. Came into his own when Rotherham were reduced to 10 men with a vital block from Matt Crooks at the far post. Only blot was a chip intended for Max Aarons inadvertently led to Millers’ opener. 8

• Max Aarons

What a class act at this level. Two attacking forays teed up Emi Buendia and then Marco Stiepermann. Driving run and vicious cross turned into his own net by Michael Ihiekwe. 7

• Grant Hanley

Slack needed after so long out in the manner he was turned by Ladapo. But a strong comeback thereafter. 6

• Ben Gibson

No quarter asked or given in his aerial tussles with in particular the towering Crooks. Happy to step out and trigger City attacks as Millers dropped deeper in the second half. 7

• Xavi Quintilla

One defensive lapse allowed Mickel Miller to head over from point blank range. Continues to get into advanced positions but the end product was lacking. 6

• Oliver Skipp

Got caught under the ball for Rotherham’s opener. Sparked the quality move for the equaliser. Sickening challenge from Angus MacDonald but thankfully able to continue. 7

• Lukas Rupp

Perfect pass for Stiepermann’s early chance. Progressive again in possession. 7

• Emi Buendia

Key pass for the overlapping Aarons to draw City level. Then his quick thinking deep in stoppage time earned Norwich a penalty when he was hauled down by Florian Jozefzoon. 7

• Marco Stiepermann

Clipped a big chance at Jamal Blackman. Turned provider to set up Adam Idah in the same first half spell. Involved in a flowing move for the equaliser but sloppy at times in possession. 6

• Adam Idah

Foiled twice in the first half by Blackman. Very rash challenge to hook the legs of Clark Robertson to concede a penalty. Teed up Jordan Hugill late on. 6

• Jordan Hugill

Talismanic figure already. Cool penalty at the death. Denied by Blackman just prior to that and added punch to City’s attacking endeavour. Did not let an early miss affect him. 8

City substitutes

• Teemu Pukki (for Stiepermann, 80) n/a

• Mario Vrancic (for Skipp, 80) n/a

• Kenny McLean (for Buendia, 90+7) n/a
