Daniel Farke previewed Norwich City’s Championship home opener against Preston - and we had all the key lines first from a video chat with the boss at Colney.

The Canaries strive to follow up their win at Huddersfield in front of a 1,000 season ticket holders at Carrow Road, with the visit of Alex Neil’s Preston selected by the Football League to be part of a pilot this weekend in the on going bid to get supporters back inside stadiums due to the pandemic.

Farke provided a full fitness update on those who featured at the Terriers. Emi Buendia is available after suspension and a muscular problem that only saw him returned to full training on Tuesday.

Marco Stiepermann (back) is ruled out but Josh Martin (calf) returns.

Grant Hanley and Sam Byram (hamstring related issues) are not in contention. Hanley could return to team training fully next week but Farke confirmed Byram is not an option until January.

Josip Drmic. Moritz Leitner and Tom Trybull are not part of the plans for the new season.

Farke spoke to the media remotely from Colney.
