Norwich City’s Premier League planning continues to take shape with the club unveiling their domestic pre-season friendly programme.
City's league fixtures were confirmed on Thursday, with Daniel Farke's squad facing a daunting trip to Champions League winners Liverpool on Friday August 9.
To prepare for that opening weekend test at Anfield, Norwich will have home Carrow Road tune ups against Serie A side Atalanta and Ligue 1 opponents Toulouse.
Atalanta will provide a strong test after qualifying for the Champions League for the first time after sealing third place last season in Serie A above both Milan clubs. They also reached the final of the Coppa Italia, losing to Lazio.
Toulouse finished 16th last season in the French top flight, four points above the relegation zone.
In addition there will be a behind-closed-doors game at Colney against Championship side Brentford and another trip to Kenilworth Road to face League One champions Luton Town.
Farke took his side to face the Hatters 12 months ago. No senior games have been announced prior to the club's pre-season tour of Germany, which takes place between July 12 and July 20. City's first team squad is scheduled to play three games in Germany, with the fixture against SC Paderborn already announced for July 16.
