The new Championship campaign has moved a step closer today after Norwich City's first team squad returned to Colney to begin their pre-season training regime.

The Canaries have provided a behind-the-scenes glimpse of players returning for fitness testing, showing Dennis Srbeny, Todd Cantwell, Louis Thompson, Alex Tettey, Michael McGovern and Timm Klose returning from their summer holidays.

Under-23 players were in for testing with sports science staff yesterday and the senior players continued the theme this morning.

Cantwell has also shared images of the PS4 being fired up for a game of Fifa on Instagram, where Ivo Pinto and Onel Hernandez have also been showing off City's new training kit.

Daniel Farke's squad are back in training ahead of their first friendly game on Friday, July 6, away to local non-league side King's Lynn Town.

Games against League Two sides Lincoln and Crawley follow ahead of a tour of Germany and games against League One sides Luton and Charlton when they return to England.

The build-up then continues ahead of their Championship opener away at Birmingham City on Saturday, August 4.
