Norwich City talisman James Maddison is leading Ipswich Town's Bersant Celina in the voting for the Championship goal-of-the-month.

Maddison had polled 49pc of the 13,500 votes cast by Monday afternoon, for his howitzer that sank Brentford on January 27 in a 1-0 Championship away win, when he nutmegged Ryan Woods before unleashing a 25-yard shot past Daniel Bentley at Griffin Park.

Town's on-loan Manchester City wide player Celina currently has 39pc in second with former Norwich striker Steve Morison a distant third for his instinctive long range effort past Angus Gunn at Carrow Road on New Year's Day.

Celina beat two Leeds players before hammering a match-winning strike into the top corner to seal all three points at Portman Road on January 13.

You can vote HERE for Maddison, with the polls closing on Tuesday at 6pm. The result will be announced later in the week.
