Daniel Farke has avoided the manager-of-the-month curse after missing out to Championship rival Darren Moore at West Brom.

Farke was shortlisted for September's divisional award for picking up 13 league points from a possible 15 available, plus progress in the League Cup for good measure.

City's Finnish striker, Teemu Pukki, also lost out in the player-of-the-month running with Baggies' on-loan striker Dwight Gayle completing a West Brom double.

Gayle scored five times in four league wins for Moore's men, with Pukki on target three times for his club last month, plus two further strikes for his country in the Uefa Nations League.

Farke also missed out after being nominated last season at the same stage, but the German will aim to plot a ninth unbeaten game when the Canaries' host Stoke City at Carrow Road this weekend.

The judging panel included former Ipswich manager George Burley and Sky Sports' EFL League expert Don Goodman.
