Norwich City supporters have snapped up all 9,000 tickets available for next month’s trip to Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup fifth round, with 23 club coaches set to lead the exodus to north London.
Around 3,000 Canaries fans were able to attend the club's first ever trip to the impressive Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, estimated to have cost around £850m to build, for a narrow 2-1 defeat in the Premier League last month.
But victories over Preston and Burnley have teed up another opportunity for more supporters to get their first experience of Spurs' new home - and a rare appearance in the fifth round of the FA Cup for City.
It will be only the fifth time in 28 seasons that the Canaries have competed in the last 16 of the world's oldest club competition, chasing a firth quarter-final since 1992.
The away day on Wednesday, March 4 (7.45pm) is set to surpass another exodus to north London in October 2017, when 8,773 Canaries supporters travelled to Emirates Stadium and saw Daniel Farke's team beaten 2-1 in extra-time by Arsenal in the League Cup fourth round.
That's set to make the Spurs game the biggest away following since the successful 2015 Championship play-off final at Wembley, when the club had been allocated almost 39,000 tickets.
It will also be the biggest away following since 5,300 supporters travelled to Wigan in April last year, as Farke's team closed on promotion from the Championship, which is bettered by only a handful of games in the club's history - including the 7,781 that went to Crystal Palace in 2004.
Chief operating officer Ben Kensell, speaking to City's official website, said: "To have sold out the maximum available allocation for the tie is amazing. We're really looking forward to seeing a wall of yellow backing Daniel Farke and the players at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
"We appreciate that travelling to a midweek game in London can present challenges for some, so to have sold that figure is an incredible display of support and for that we're extremely grateful."
Tickets for the Spurs game were priced at £25 for adults, £20 for 18 to 21-year-old and those 65 and over, £15 for under-18s and a family package of two adults and two under-18s for £50 - going on sale on Monday to away premier members and moving through the priority system on each day of this week, before the remaining few went on general sale today.
