Our Norwich City correspondent Paddy Davitt has posted his marks following the Canaries' 2-1 defeat at Carrow Road.

Here is Paddy's verdict on Daniel Farke's troops after a laboured display against the Blades.

• Angus Gunn

Slight question mark over his decision to stay on his line for Clayton Donaldson's winner. 6.5

• Grant Hanley

Had a chance to clear John Fleck's corner that led to the opening goal. Substituted when City went to a back four. 6.5

• Christoph Zimmermann

Couple of nervy moments. Not as dominant as some recent performances. 6.5

• Timm Klose

Saw plenty of the ball in advanced areas. One thunderous strike flew wide. One header tipped over. Ball-watching a couple of times when Donaldson pulled off the back. 7.0

• Ivo Pinto

Out-numbered early on. Fine header from a man who does not score many goals to at least make the final quarter interesting. 7.0

Less of an excuse for fatigue given his abbreviated shift at Stamford Bridge. Woeful decision duly punished. 5.0

• Harrison Reed

Thankless task until City switched tactics to match up in midfield. 6.0

• Jamal Lewis

Naive concession of an early corner indirectly led to Blades' opening goal. With the visitors stringing five across the midfield, that stunted his attacking urges. 6.5

• James Maddison

One free kick tipped around the post but the passing radar was off. Looked lethargic and in need of a break. 6.5

• Nelson Oliveira

Same old story. Flashes of endeavour but limited service and more often than not fight balls up against big centre backs. Simply not working for the striker or Norwich at present at the top end of the park. Clearing heaer up rather than out for Blades' opener. 6.0

• Josh Murphy

Drew a save from Simon Moore at his near post. Lacking in drive or energy to commit the full back. Tentative. 6.0

City substitutes

• Wes Hoolahan 6.5

Injected some composure in and around the box but unable to unlock the key.

(for Grant Hanley, 59)

• Mario Vrancic 6.5

Decisive intervention with the corner for Ivo Pinto's lifeline.

(for Harrison Reed, 59)

• Marco Stiepermann n/a

(for Alex Tettey, 87)
