Daniel Farke previewed Norwich City’s Championship trip to Cardiff City - and we had all the key lines first from a video chat with the boss at Colney.

Bali Mumba and Xavi Quintilla are the latest Norwich players to test positive for coronavirus. The duo will miss the trip to Wales as they continue a period of self-isolation.

Tim Krul and Adam Idah are out of self-isolation after testing positive for coronavirus ahead of the FA Cup win against Coventry City last weekend.

Farke confirmed Krul is still feeling the after effects and is not under consideration this weekend. Idah is not in contention as he steps up his recovery from a knee issue.

Lukas Rupp and Josh Martin also miss out with flu like symptoms, although Farke made it clear both had returned negative test results.

Farke also confirmed another five members of his backroom staff have tested positive - one physio and four sports scientists - in addition to one member of the backroom staff the previous week.

Christoph Zimmermann (hip) is out but targeting a return for the upcoming midweek game against Bristol City.

Marco Stiepermann has now been diagnosed with Epstein Barr virus after visiting a specialist, after initially complaining of issues related to an ear infection. The attacking midfielder will only come into Farke's thoughts once his immune system has recovered.

Kieran Dowell underwent minor surgery last week to remove a pin from his original ankle operation earlier this season but has returned to team training in the last few days and could be an option for the matchday squad against the Bluebirds.

Sam Byram (hamstring) remains sidelined, while Michael McGovern is expected to be out for 11 to 13 weeks after hamstring surgery.

Moritz Leitner and Josip Drmic are not part of the plans.

Farke spoke to the media remotely from Colney.
