As we wait for the transfer klaxon to sound and the Russia 2018 World Cup to kick-off, here's an alternative Norwich City alphabet. MICHAEL BAILEY gets things moving with – unsurprisingly – A ... for ANNIVERSARIES.
It's one of the reasons why we love to follow a football club – because a lot of people have done it before.
Since being founded – 116 years on the 17th of this month in case you were wondering – there have been a lot of highs, lows, cracking stories and glorious memories.
Of course, some anniversaries carry more weight than others – but there's always something to celebrate when you've got more than a century of history to trawl.
Like the 2018-19 season – or in other words, the 60th anniversary of the legendary 59ers' epic run to the FA Cup semi-finals as a third-tier side. City's record as a second tier and top-flight outfit is arguably worse – but now is not the time to batter the Canaries around the head with a stick. This is a celebration, after all.
It remains to be seen whether Carrow Road with throw another great party to celebrate what was a remarkable FA Cup feat – but if it does, we know it will be an occasion well worth taking in.
And the idea of sparing a few more moments to celebrate the Norwich City legend that is Terry Allcock, is completely fine by me. What a man!
The club doesn't only have a long history of football on the pitch – but also parties in the stands. In fact, we've already had two since 2018 arrived.

The send-off for Wes Hoolahan in the final home game of last season hit such a sweet spot, most who took it in will be wondering if the previously discussed testimonial match pencilled in for some point in the future will take place at all.
Sure, some derided the occasion – but those who did only operated in social media circles and no doubt would have had a different view, had it all taken place in colours other than yellow and green.
Likewise City Legends, who got a run out against Inter Forever to mark 25 years of the Canaries' only European participation.
Whatever the feelings shared before the game, the event itself was a true celebration that stirred so many emotions for anyone that has shared in City's peaks and troughs since 1992 – while giving a hugely ambitious Build The Nest project a terrific initial foot-up.
And who better to have the final word than City's Uefa Cup run boss Mike Walker: 'I was sceptical of coming across at first – 25 years is a long time and I wondered if there would be that enthusiasm for it but…it was well worth coming back.'
