Norwich City have announced date changes for three of their Championship fixtures and confirmed the date for their Carabao Cup first round tie against Stevenage.

The Canaries will host League Two side Stevenage at Carrow Road on Tuesday, August 14 (7.45pm kick-off) in the first round of the Carabao Cup.

That tie is in between the opening home league game of the season against West Brom on Saturday, August 11 and the trip to Sheffield United on Saturday, August 18.

Both East Anglian derbies have also been moved back to midday Sunday kick-offs, as expected and as has largely been the case with the fixture during recent seasons.

City will travel to Portman Road on Sunday, September 2 and Town will head to Norfolk on Sunday, February 10.

The first derby is followed by a two-week international break so doesn't have a knock-on effect – with a home game against Middlesbrough following the break – but the game at Carrow Road has forced a change.

The following trip to Preston North End has been pushed back 24 hours and will now be played on Wednesday, February 13.

That tees up a home game against Ipswich on the Sunday, a long trip to Preston on Wednesday and then another game in Lancashire on Saturday – making for a gruelling seven days.

City have also confirmed that the trip to Reading on Wednesday, September 19 will be an 8pm kick-off, although that had been listed in the initial EFL fixtures released earlier this month.

Daniel Farke's squad have returned to training ahead of their first pre-season fixture at King's Lynn Town on Friday, July 6, building towards their opening league game away at Birmingham City on Saturday, August 4.

The Canaries finished 14th in the Championship last season, behind Ipswich and Leeds on goal difference, at the end of the German's first season in charge.
