A lack of respect, playing for themselves and not their team-mates, quitting on the job – just some of Cameron Jerome's accusations as Norwich City imploded on the road yet again.
The Canaries' 5-1 thrashing at Sheffield Wednesday leaves them nine points off the play-off pace with just 11 games to play.
But the recriminations for Alex Neil's squad look set to extend well beyond the immediate aftermath and even their next Championship trip, Tuesday's visit to a Bristol City side now stuck in the bottom three.
'A few words were said there at the end but ultimately there's no real point in talking about them and emotions run high, especially after games like that,' said Jerome.
'Bottom line is we're well aware we've let ourselves down. We have been for the last few months really but this one was probably more difficult to take with the magnitude of the game.
'Ultimately we've been embarrassing and yet again a lack of everything on the pitch has let us down.
'It's been a recurring theme. People keep talking about how good… We got out of the division two years ago but it's different personnel, different mind sets, it's just totally different to when the manager first came here two years ago.
'We can't keep referring to that sort of thing. It's about the here and now, and we've not got enough about us as a squad to roll our selves up unfortunately, and we've been found out on more than one occasion.
'That's why our away record is so poor. You've got to be honest with yourselves and as players we're not honest with ourselves. I think we lack respect for our team-mates. We're not fighting for each other. We lack respect for the coaching staff and all they do for us. We don't follow the right instructions or orders. It's like everyone plays for themselves.
'A lot of our fans came – 1,700 or 2000 fans. It's embarrassing. They come in their droves away from home to support the team, and ultimately we've not been good enough again and we've come up short.'
Manager Alex Neil believed Saturday's crunch Championship clash was simply too big for his players – a situation that left Jerome spitting feathers.
'It was the same as Brighton,' added Jerome. 'We lost 5-0, it was a big game, one mistake, we go 1-0 down and we crumble. As a team we've got to take responsibility.
'There are a lot of players in there that have played international football, played in bigger games than a league game in the Championship at Sheffield Wednesday. No disrespect to that but there are a lot of players that have played in European Championships, play-off finals, Premier League games, cup finals.

'It's beyond me how we can, collectively as a team, struggle to come together and say look, we're 1-0 down but it's not the end of the world, let's keep going. But we seem to go 1-0 down, 2-0 down 3-0 down and that's it. We almost quit. We don't play for each other, we don't play as a team.
'It is difficult to take because there's no individual person to blame. You're in it together as a group of players and you owe it to yourselves to try and rectify things on the pitch – but it's difficult when everyone's going in individual directions.'
