Robert Snodgrass was happy to see off another tale of two halves as Norwich City stunned Swansea with a glorious win in Wales.

Similar to their victory over Sunderland six days earlier, the Canaries were too hot for their hosts to handle before the break – one of their best halves of Premier League football sending City 3-0 up heading in at the break.

And although the in-form Swans forged a response in the second period, it was Snodgrass' wonderful free-kick that restored a two-goal lead for the visitors and ultimately booked their fifth win of a club Premier League record nine games unbeaten and their first on the road this term.

'I'm pleased with the result first and foremost,' beamed Snodgrass, who pocketed two assists along with his goal at the Liberty Stadium. 'I don't think many teams will come here and score four goals in this stadium. It's a terrific performance by the lads and you've got to take massive positives from this game.

'I know we conceded three goals and that's not usually like us through this run, but to score four here is terrific.

'I don't think we could have played any better in the first half – three goals, a clean sheet, everything is hunky dory and then they came out and fair play to them, they didn't go into their shell.

'They came out, kept passing the ball, kept moving it and stuck to their game plan.

'I thought we frustrated them in the first half, especially the way we were delivering balls into the box and the strikers were getting on the end of things. So it was quite good to be part of that, but it was not good to be part of the second half when you are defending.

'But this is a team game and this is what it is all about, and why you get the rewards, because everyone wants to work hard for each other.'

City blossomed as an attacking force with two cracking headers and two wonderful individual efforts booking the three points. Snodgrass' free-kick to round things off was crisper and cleaner than his copybook strike at Southampton, but his flick and Steven Whittaker's sublime run and finish to open the scoring was the pick of the bunch. Even Snodgrass thought so.

'I'd give goal of the day to him – it was a cracking goal, especially going forward from a full-back. We've not had many full-back goals this season and him to be doing what he is doing, taking players on and the composure as well, it was first class.

'I guess you usually see the Scots putting the balls in the channels and running on to things!

'But it was nice to see him go on that little mazy run and get the goal, because it was a terrific finish and that started us on our way.

'Mine was a better goal than at Southampton because the keeper never gave me a hand – the lads had been giving me a bit of stick about that.

'But it hit the back of the net, so did this one, and I'm just delighted to get three points here.'

Summer signing Whittaker is proving something of a lucky charm – he is still yet to experience defeat as a City player. Indeed, it's a feeling the whole Norwich squad is probably struggling to remember as their terrific run of form took them to the fringes of the Premier League's top half.

'The team has done well and there have been some great performances over this run, but we won't get carried away with it,' vowed Snodgrass.

'We've got lads who want to work hard for each other, that never rest on their laurels, who want to keep doing well, keep trying to better themselves and that's why I enjoy being part of this team. They never know when they are beaten and we can take great credit from it and keep marching up that table.'

City can take their eye of the top flight this week, as Aston Villa roll into town for tomorrow's eagerly awaited League Cup quarter-final.

'It's a massive game and to get to the semis other would be first class,' added Snodgrass. 'I don't know if the gaffer will make changes but everybody wants to play in the game – you'd be silly not to.

'Of course it would be terrific to get to Wembley, so we'll just keep doing what we doing and hopefully it will come.'
