Alex Tettey could join an elite club at Norwich City tomorrow if he makes his 150th appearance for the Canaries – moving him into the club's all-time top 100.
The midfielder was signed on a free transfer from Rennes in August 2012 and has seen plenty of highs and lows during his time with City.
The 31-year-old, who recently retired from international duty after being capped 34 times by Norway, has endured two top-flight relegations but also played a key part in promotion back to the Premier League in 2015.
The landmark came as a surprise to Tettey when he was told about it but, with a trademark grin, he was delighted to be closing on the achievement.
'I've been told that if I play it will be my 150th,' he said. 'So that is something I'm looking forward to and if I play I hope we will win because I don't want to play my 150 and then it will go to the history books and say we lost.
'So I'm up for it and so are the guys.'
He added: 'Life in Norfolk has been brilliant. Of all the clubs I have been at, if I am here next season, that will be the longest, longer than Rosenborg where everything started, and I am very proud of it.
'Norfolk is a very good place to live with a family and things have gone unbelievably since I came to this club and this place so I am very pleased with that.'
Tettey, whose contract runs until the summer of 2018, has scored six goals but two are particularly memorable: his wonderful volley in a 2-0 win over Sunderland in March 2014 and the goal which secured City's first win at Old Trafford in 26 years, in a 2-1 win over Manchester United in December 2015.
Asked about his best memories, Tettey said: 'There are a few since I've been here. My first game in the Premier League was something that I remember very well.
'Wembley and scoring against United but my first game for the club is something I still remember well.
'Obviously the goal against Sunderland was a good one. Some people say it was a lucky strike but, I don't know, it was a good goal.'
If he plays against Fulham tomorrow Tettey will draw level with Kevin Drinkell, Clive Payne and James Stoakes on 150 games for the Canaries.
