Alex Tettey may have enjoyed only a watching brief for Norway's friendly defeat at Wembley, but that couldn't dampen his club optimism.

The midfielder was an unused substitute as England ran out 1-0 winners on a drab international night on Wednesday.

'At the beginning, the club said they did not need to sell and they have proven that,' said Tettey.

'I think only two players have left us, but the club have also brought in good coverage.

'The aim is still to get the promotion and with all the players we have in the squad now, although there are a lot of games, the hope is we can push on.

'Besides the first game at Wolves, we have managed to play well and were unlucky not to beat Bournemouth – so overall we are really pleased to have 10 points from five games.

Tettey will be hoping for involvement when Norway host Italy on Tuesday evening, to kick-off their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign.
