‘I love playing with him’ - Aarons thrives off Buendia’s creative ability

Max Aarons has revealed just much he ‘loves’ playing alongside Emi Buendia at Norwich City.
The duo have been of the success Daniel Farke has enjoyed with the Canaries, with their combination on the right wing leading to Aarons being brought down ahead of Teemu Pukki’s winning penalty at Middlesbrough on Saturday.
The England Under-21 international is into his third campaign of playing with the feisty Argentine and knows just how good Buendia can be.
“With Emi, the way I like to describe him is that he might have five chances to put someone in and maybe four don’t work out but all he needs is that one opportunity to create,” explained Aarons. “Especially in games like this (at Boro) when you need somebody to put their foot on the ball and slide someone in or create someone.
“Me and him have a good partnership. There’s no lying and saying that I don’t get frustrated but I love playing with him and I know the quality he has and that he brings out the best in my game.

Buendia has spoken recently about trying to control his frustrated outbursts when things don’t work out for him on the pitch, as his passion boils over.

“We all know what he’s like and what he can do.” Aarons added. “He’s a good person and that’s the main thing, he never says anything to hurt anyone or anything like that.
“It’s a frustration that he knows the ability he’s got if it doesn’t come off and he’ll know that. Like I say he brings out the best in my game so I can’t complain.”
The 20-year-old is pleased to be making his own attacking impact at the moment as well, with midfielder Jacob Sorensen acting as emergency injury cover at left-back.
“I think we’ve tried to use it as Jacob as a bit more defensive stability, which allows me to go on and play as high as I want - which is what I want and everyone knows that I love to get forward,” Aarons continued.
“There’s a big onus on me to provide that width and go forward, which is what I love to do.”
