Norwich City are interested in signing Marseille winger Konrad de la Fuente on loan this month, according to reports in Spain.

The 21-year-old is currently on loan in Greece with Olympiakos, but he's played just five times so far this season, starting twice.

The Canaries are low on creative attackers as things stand, with former loanee Aaron Ramsey returning to Aston Villa after a knee injury brought an end to his time at Carrow Road.

Todd Cantwell is also expected to depart during the January window, with Rangers and PSV Eindhoven reportedly interested in the 24-year-old and head coach David Wagner confirming he wasn't part of his plans.

Young winger Jon Rowe is also out of action until at least March with an ankle injury, while Przemyslaw Placheta is looking for a solution to a shin problem that's plagued him since August. Big-money signings Christos Tzolis and Milot Rashica are both out on loan, with no option to recall either before the end of the season.

That could leave the door open for an addition in forward areas, although any arrival is likely to be on loan given City's finances at present.

De la Fuente fits into that bracket, although Relevo claim that the American is keen on a return to Spain, where he moved when he was 10 before joining Barcelona's academy.

They state that La Liga sides Rayo Vallecano and Real Valladolid are interested in the thrice-capped international, with further competition on the continent including Augsburg, Stuttgart, Hoffenheim, Burnley and AZ Alkmaar.

De la Fuente played 29 times for Barca's B team, scoring nine goals before graduating to the first-team set up at Camp Nou. He made three senior appearances in Catalonia before joining Marseille for around £2.5million, going on to play 23 times during his first year in France.

He scored just once in that season, however, and was sent out to Greece temporarily, where he's struggled to make an impact. He featured against Norwich in their 3-0 friendly win over the Olympians in July, playing 45 minutes after replacing Dimitri Payet at half time.
