Norwich City are up to fourth in Premier B of the East Men's League after a 6-2 win at home against City of Peterborough II.

Dave Skinner bagged a hat-trick whilst Cameron Cooke notched a brace as Norwich bounced back from the disappointment of losing a three-goal lead against Waltham Forest the week before. Chris Wardale was also on the scoresheet for City, who have won five of their 10 games this season.

Meanwhile, Dereham went down to a 3-2 defeat against Havering that leaves them eighth in the table.

In Premier A Harleston Magpies came away with an impressive 2-1 win at Cambridge University to maintain their unbeaten record. Harleston hit the front when nice interplay between Dave Gilbert and Jack Hobbs resulted in Sam Moore deftly volleying the ball home.

Harleston failed to extend their lead before the break despite several chances and they were made to rue these in the second half when Cambridge equalised.

However, Harleston roused themselves for a memorable finale as Jack Hobbs latched on to an aerial from Archie Winter before slotting past the goalkeeper to seal the points.

Harleston Magpies II stayed nine points clear at the top of Division 2N thanks to a 5-2 win at home to Pelicans.

Norwich City II moved up to second in the table thanks to their 9-0 demolition of basement boys Horncastle. Jeremy Elliott hit a hat-trick whilst Tom Hindle (2), Dan Cheesman, Matthew Fretwell, Stuart Wardle and Ben Plumb were also on the scoresheet.

Norwich Dragons were on the wrong end of a 6-1 defeat at Dereham II - Sam Avery getting the consolation for Dragons, who are sixth in the table.

UEA claimed their fourth win of the season with a 3-2 win over St Ives whilst Harleston Magpies III shared six goals at Cambridge University.

In Division 3NE Norwich Dragons lost 2-1 at Ipswich-East Suffolk with Ali Smyth getting the goal for the visitors, who awarded their player-of-the-match to keeper Tom McLean for saving several drag flicks.

Dragons’ fifth string also lost 2-1 at Ipswich-East Suffolk in 5NE with their goal coming through James Cross.

In the England Hockey Championships Norwich Dragons’ Over-40s beat Bury St Edmunds thanks to goals from Richard Gill, Rupert Snelling, Richard Moulson and Chris Simmonds.
