Norwich City Ladies bagged a stunning 11-3 win at Boston in the second qualifying round of the Women’s FA Cup.

The early phases saw both teams test each other out, but the floodgates opened on 18 minutes when Kyla Love scored.

Boston responded from the restart when Amy Hunt scrabbled the ball past Hope Armstrong.

Yet again, the response was immediate, as Love scored a second with her head, putting Norwich in the lead once again.

Not content with two, Love made it a hat-trick just four minutes later, with Norwich now dominating possession.

A fourth followed soon after, when Chelsea Garrett swept the ball past keeper Daniella Richardson.

Goal number five came from Jodie Drake with the sixth from young Reeanna Cook, with a header in off the bar rounding off a great first-half performance as City led 6-1.

Boston made an early substitution at the restart, but Norwich picked up where they left off – in possession and exploiting the width of the pitch.

The seventh came with just five minutes played, when Garrett scored her second of the day. Norwich introduced fresh legs, Brooke Osborne coming on for Tigi Robson in defence and Emily Moerkerk on for Millie Daviss in midfield.

With the third Norwich sub waiting on the sidelines ready to join the action, Garrett scored her third, the second Norwich hat-trick of the day.

Garrett then made way for Kathryn Stanley in a straight swop up front.

Norwich scored their ninth thanks to Aimee Durrant, but from somewhere Boston managed to respond, with Toni McHamilton scoring their second.

Again Norwich responded, when Kathryn Stanley opened her account. If a hat-trick wasn’t enough, Love left the best to last, a stunning free-kick from outside the box notching her fourth and Norwich’s 11th. But Boston were fighting to the bitter end and scored a 94th-minute consolation goal.

Norwich: Armstrong, Robson (Osborne 51), Parker, Thacker, Diston, Drake, Durrant, Daviss (Moerkerk 54), Garrett (Stanley 56), Cook, Love.

Referee: Aimee Keir.
