Just 13 surviving games produced 68 goals in the weekend's North West Norfolk league action, sponsored by Seddon.

Division One saw Lynn North End win 10-2 against Watlington to return to the top due to Gayton United not playing while there was also a win for Ingoldisthorpe over Heacham.

Division Two saw the top two meet and Discovery Royals beat Castle Rising to close the gap. Smithdon also won against William Burt thanks to two goals from Lee Dix, the first of which was a stunning 20-yard strike. Referee Simon Peach spent the morning helping Manny Sayers and Rob Ward clearing the water from the pitch.

In Division Three Birchwood drew 3-3 with Gayton United Reserves. Paul Phillips of Birchwood got the first goal with a header inside 10 minutes. He popped up again five minutes later to double the home lead. Brad Wilson also got on the scoresheet with an unusual goal in which his cross into the box found nobody there to put it into the back of the net – but the keeper let the ball slip out of his hands and into the net to make it 3-0 at half-time. Gayton, however rallied to grab three second half goals to earn a point. This game was a warm up to the semi-final between these two clubs on Saturday and the entertainment was helped by the refereeing of Frank Lough.

West Lynn beat Wiggenhall 3-0 with both teams playing some good football on a very sticky pitch. After some great switch play from West Lynn Simon Batterham smashed the hosts into a 1-0 half-time lead.

West Lynn came out with all guns blazing in the second half and hit a quick fire double with both goals coming from Danny Suckling. They continued to dominate and defended well to reduce the visitors to just two shots during the whole match.

In Division Four Tilney FC beat Ingoldisthorpe A 6-1 to keep the pressure on at the top. The cold did not slow Tilney's tempo as they scored six fine goals from Grant Varnham, Ben Halliday, Liam Peart, Shaun Copeland (two) and captain Darren Browne.

Ingoldisthorpe A pulled one back in the second half. Rob Chenery won praise for running the line on an awful day. Despite great play from Luke Girling in the centre of the park man of the match went to Shaun Copeland.
