North Walsham return to league action after a week off which should have had a restorative effect on those players who have been carrying knocks and strains.

Coach James Brooks decided that a lessening of activity would be beneficial by reducing the training schedule last week, but will naturally expect a big effort in preparation for tomorrow's trip to Letchworth in London One North.

The Hertfordshire side have had a difficult season, winning just once in the current campaign, against fellow strugglers South Woodham Ferrers back in September, and are rooted at the foot of the table with just seven points to their name.

However, this should not indicate that they will be a pushover as there is no more dangerous an opponent than one who is striving to extricate themselves from a difficult position, a point that Brooks will no doubt emphasise.

The week off should make more players available for selection with Mike Braans, back from his brief break, and Lachlan Brown-Bates and Harry Downing returning from injury. But on the negative side full back Jake Duffield failed to train on Tuesday with a leg injury and is almost certainly out while speedy winger James Riley who collected a severe rib cage injury at Brentwood could be absent until the turn of the year.

With the Vikings away those supporters not travelling are urged to come to Scottow where the Raiders will be engaged in a top-of-the-table clash with leaders Fakenham (2pm).

Elsewhere in London One North Diss have what appears to be an decent opportunity to get back to winning ways when they welcome Ruislip to Mackenders.

Their visitors stand just one place above them in the table in eighth position, having won four and lost six of their 10 games.

Diss go into the match having lost three and drawn one of their previous four, but have remained competitive throughout and will be looking for some tangible reward tomorrow.
