Dereham III enjoyed a comfortable 3-0 victory at Thetford in the Premier Division on Saturday.

After play was halted by a hail storm midway through the first half, Dereham soon took the lead as Jackie Taylor squeezed the ball home.

Imo Walker quickly added a second to put Dereham firmly in charge at the break.

Dereham continued to dominate in the second half, but had to wait until the final 10 minutes before Erren Ampleford shot from just inside the circle to complete the scoring.

In the battle of two newly promoted sides, Norwich City III recorded their first victory of the season with a 2-1 win at Diss.

Following a goalless opening period, City took the lead early in the second half through Phoebe Welsh, who later doubled the advantage.

Diss pulled one back, but City held on to move above their opponents.

With the clash between the morning top two, Norwich City II and UEA, postponed, Harleston Magpies II seized their chance in style with a 7-0 win at Watton II to go top of the table.

Magpies' fourth team collected their third win of the season by beating Lowestoft Railway 3-0 and Beccles won by the same scoreline at home to Evergreens.

Norwich Dragons III maintained their perfect start to the season with a sixth consecutive victory in Division One, beating Sprowston II – who had previously won all five of their games – 2-0.

Dragons produced some slick passing and strong running to create numerous opportunities, but they were denied by a well-organised Sprowston defence.

Sprowston were dangerous on the break but an end-to-end half finished without a goal.

Dragons stepped up the pace after the break and an inviting cross from Caroline Wolfe found Amy Brown's stick for the opening goal.

The second goal came courtesy of some excellent overlapping on the right by Olivia Thomas and Amelia Dawson, with Lynn Price striking the ball into the net.

Harleston Magpies V registered their first win of the season with a 1-0 victory at UEA III and Broadland III were 2-0 winners at home to Yarmouth.

Dragons' fourth team's lead at the top of Division Two was cut to two points after their game at Lowestoft Railway II was postponed.

Sprowston III took full advantage with a 5-0 win at Norwich Dragons V. Nicole Rijks set the ball rolling with a penalty flick, before Liz Hollis netted from a cross. Hollis then added the third with a clean strike after a fine run down the right wing from Lucy Bracey.

The confident Sprowston side continued to enjoy the upper hand in the second half and scored twice more, through Hanna Read and Louise Bracey.
