NWGFL round-up: Thorpe go top of Division One despite being held by Wymondham Town Ladies Reserves

Shanice Sutton was on target for Thorpe but Wymondham grabbed a share of the spoils thanks to Sally Hammerton's strike. The point was enough to put Thorpe top of the league but only on goal difference with Sprowston Ladies, who didn't play at the weekend, level on points.

Gorleston Ladies gained their first victory of the season thanks to a thrilling 4-3 success at home to Fakenham Town Ladies. Sophie Gillett's hat-trick did the damage for the Greens whilst Bethany Turner was also on target. Fakenham's goals came from Jennifer Codman (2) and Jade Dodds.

In Division Two FC Sprowston made it six wins out of six as they hammered Kirkley & Pakefield Ladies 10-0. The win takes them to within three points of leaders Beccles Town Ladies, who have played two games more.

Gorleston Rangers picked up their first win of the season thanks to a 1-0 win at home to Freethorpe Ladies. Toftwood United Ladies remain pointless at the bottom of the league after a 3-1 loss at home to Bure Valley Wildcats, whose goals came through Abigail Clark, Charlie Cooper and Juliette Kelly. Thea Wilson was on target for Toftwood United Ladies.

Briston Wanderers stayed top of the seven-a-side division with a 4-2 win at Hellesdon Belles Ladies. Megan Skinner and Sophie Tipper both scored braces but Costessey Sports Ladies kept up the pressure at the top with a 2-1 win at Harleston Town Ladies. Costessey are just a point behind Briston, with a game in hand - Claire Ling got the goal for Harleston.

Morley were held to a 2-2 draw agianst Scole United Ladies at home. Becky Humphries opened the scoring for the home side before Holly Smith doubled their lead and it looked like three points were on the cards.

However, Scole responded well and goals from Cara Fensome and Annie Mayes made sure they gained a point. Morley moved up to third in the table as a result whilst Scole sit in fifth place.
