Fairstead ANG lifted the Norfolk Sunday Junior Cup on Sunday, as a man-of-the-match performance from goalkeeper Joe Simpson helped earn a 2-1 victory over Belton after extra time.
Fairstead opened the scoring on 37 minutes when Alex Vincent used his pace to beat the Belton defence before rounding the keeper to score.
Scott Calver netted a late equaliser for Belton, firing a half volley into the bottom corner after his first effort was saved by Simpson.
The game went into extra-time and on 99 minutes Belton won a penalty following a foul by Harry Cunliffe, who was sent off. Belton skipper Ryan Gowing took responsibility, but saw his spot kick well saved by Simpson.
Ten man Fairstead netted the winner on 114 minutes when Colin Buffham glanced the ball home following a free-kick and the King's Lynn side held on to lift the trophy.
