There were four hours of non-stop action at the Norfolk Sportshall Athletics Championships.
Sportspark in Norwich was the venue for the event in which young athletes from every corner of the county competed and enjoyed themselves.
Events including relays, standing long jump, vertical jump shot putt, hurdles and speed bounce were held for the under 11, under 13 and under 15 age groups.
The championships, although enjoyable for both as athletes and spectators, can lead on to higher things too.
Athletes such as international high jumper Chris Baker and shot putter Sophie McKinna started in these events. British cycling's Vicki Williamson was also a competitor.
Young athletes such as West Norfolk's Alfie Williams, City of Norwich`s Serena Grace and Eleanor Brown were county champions on Saturday but have also made their mark in national athletics championships already.
As a result of the championships teams will be selected to represent Norfolk in the Eastern Regional Championships, also at Sportspark in Norwich, on March 24.
Norfolk has had great success at the national Sportshall championships at Sport City in Manchester.
In 2016 the under 13 girls won the team title and last year the under 15 girls competed with real distinction and won another national team title.
It is hoped that this outstanding success will be continued this year.
A special award was made to Mike Da Silva, who has officiated at the Norfolk championships for 14 years and given sterling service to athletics in Norfolk.
