Norfolk captain Chris Brown will become head of cricket at Gresham's School in September.
The long-serving county player has skippered Norfolk since 2013, as well as being the team's coach and Norfolk Cricket Board's performance manager. The Horsford off-spinner also holds roles for the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), as a Young Lions scout and a spin consultant working alongside head spin coach, Peter Such, on the ECB Elite Spin Bowling Programme.
'I've worked at the school in the last four seasons, just in the summer period when I can, and this allows me to continue to work with the players through the winter,' Brown said. 'I had a meeting with the director of sport and said that provided I can keep up with my other commitments then I would be delighted to take on the role with the school.
'It's a brilliant environment here at the school, there are some fabulous people and the head, Douglas Robb, is very passionate about cricket and sport in general. We've got a young cricketer here, Ben Wilcox, who is in our EPP system and is at the prep school, and there are quite a few county age group players here – so it all fits together nicely.'

Brown has played both first class and list A cricket in this country and overseas, starting his career with Lancashire in 1994.
Gresham's sports development director, Steve Adams, said: 'This is a fantastic appointment for us and Chris will be leading the cricket programme throughout the school from the under-nines through to senior first XI.
'He brings a wealth of coaching experience with both current first class and international players and his extensive knowledge of the Norfolk age groups will certainly benefit the school.
'Chris will also provide an unrivalled link and a pathway for our most talented players through to Northamptonshire, Essex and Nottinghamshire where he works on their academy programmes.
'The school is a strong supporter of Norfolk Youth Cricket and will be hosting four age group matches this summer as well as sponsoring the Norfolk Youth Cricket Festival at Manor Park in August. I am sure Chris's appointment will only strengthen these links as our aim is to provide a wonderful opportunity and playing facilities for future first-class players.'
