The 'Workplace Sailing Challenge' is set to return to the East Region in 2018 after two successful years.
More than 120 people from a variety of different workplaces took part, with events having taken place in Norfolk, Bedfordshire, Essex and Suffolk.
Organised in conjunction with the Royal Yachting Association, clubs, centres and county sports partnerships, participants took part in a 'learn to sail' course over six weeks, after which a fun regatta was held where teams battled it out to become Champion Workplace.
The six-week programme is taking place at two venues in Norfolk – Whitlingham Adventure in Norwich on Tuesday and Friday evenings (beginning April 17 and 20), and Snettisham Beach Sailing Club on Tuesday evenings (beginning April 17). The Workplace Sailing Challenge is an RYA initiative – just get together a team of three from your workplace and sign up via the Active Norfolk website.
