Snowflake Sailing Club enjoyed a fresh breeze and uninterrupted sunshine as 30 boats – 27 of which were single handed dinghies sailed largely by under 16s who showed great seamanship as they took to the river.

The racing was very close through all fleets with positions changing hands every second.

Team Kittiwake won the Brundish Cup with a commanding lead throughout the race. William Pank took home the coveted SFSC Transom Trophy, beating Josh Means and Edward Wildman in second and third respectively.

Snowflakes also hosted an ITCA East Topper Traveller following the Open Training held on Saturday where sailors travelled from all over the region. The Traveller event was won by local sailor Tom Thwaites, discarding a second place and counting two firsts. Matthew Lloyd battled for his well-deserved second place while James Clarke definitely deserved his third place overall due to sailing with a reduced sail area.
