Norfolk Premier beat London 27-13 at Lyng with the visitors putting on a better than expected performance in their ICC clash.

Nigel Willard and Chris Mann took maximum points with wins of 17-6 and 19-5, while Melvin Woods' rink also won both their games.

Norfolk's position in the group was helped by the news that rivals Northants had suffered a meltdown in Essex, losing by a massive 39-1.

Norfolk A also celebrated a home victory as they narrowly defeated Suffolk by 21-19. The pairs had a great day, with Jenny and Peter Walker winning 17-13 and 13-9 and Chris Musk and Elaine Cole winning 19-6 and 11-9.

Connaught A are through to the second round of the Norfolk County Cup after an 8-0 home win against Horsford Heroes. Sylvia Parsons' triple were the night's biggest winners with an 18-8 result against David Woodrow's triple. Bob Carter won 6-2 at home to Sprowston, with Melvin Woods' triple winning 32-5 and Nigel Willard's triple winning 26-9.

Kirby Bedon beat Cromer 8-0 with Phil Watson's triple winning 31-3 and Selwyn Goldsmith's triple winning 22-6. Hempnall beat Bob Carter 3-0 in a clash between the big guns of the Tens League with an 18-9 win for Chris East and Neil Davidson a major factor. The next night Carter were back on the winning trail, beating Coltishall 4-0 as Robert Howlett's triple won 22-11.

Defending Bure League champions Kirby Bedon beat Coltishall 6-4 with Jill Watson, Gerald Chilvers and Phil Watson the pick of the home side, winning 12-4. Anglian Windows hammered Horsford BC 10-0 as Maurice Curchin, Diane Boswell and Mike Boswell led the way with a 22-7 win against R Ayres' triple.

Woodbastwick enjoyed a great first half against Horsford Heroes, with Tony Wright's triple winning 23-1 and Peter Jablonowski winning 21-9, but after the break Heroes hit back with Roger Frank and Vic Webster both winning, although the home side held on to win 6-4.

Wymondham won 9-1 at Harling Rec to remain top of the Breckland League after four straight wins. Chris Mann's triple won 20-9 as the Wymondham bandwagon rolled on. Harling fared better against Connaught B, beating the visitors 8-2 with Terry Hewitson, Penny Lee and Mike Frost comfortably beating Alison Rush 22-9. Connaught A made it three wins in a row as they beat struggling Forncett 10-0 with Sylvia Parsons having another great game. Forncett also lost 10-0 at Watton in a strange match as they fielded only seven players instead of 12.
