Norfolk can boast of two regional winners in this year's British Tennis Awards.
East Anglia Tennis and Squash Club (EATS), in central Norwich, and Thorpe St Andrew School are both regional winners for the eastern region and now in the running for national awards.
EATS, in Lime Tree Road, were regional winners in the Disability Programme of the Year category and Thorpe School, in Laundry Lane, in the Education Venue of the Year category.
Representatives from both projects will now be hoping to attend the annual British Tennis Awards at Wimbledon on July 3, with the national finalists due to be announced during May and June ahead of the event.
A record total of 1,460 nominations were cast last autumn, which was whittled down to the 50 regional winners. Last year the county had a national winner when Hingham Tennis were named the LTA Club of the Year for the redevelopment of the mid-Norfolk village's facilities.
