Cranworth's Adam Hatfield will not have far to travel this weekend as he defends his lead in the GT Cup GTH category on his home circuit of Snetterton.

Hatfield, who co-drives an Aston Martin GT4 with Chris Murphy, also holds fifth place in the overall championship with the local driver keen to follow up on his Brands Hatch victory.

Overall honours in the opening round were between the American-built Mosler of Garth Downing/Kevin Riley, the Nigel Hudson/Adam Wilcox Aston Martin GT3 and the McLaren 650S of Paul and Daniel Gibson who miss this round.

However, it was the guest entry of Ollie Wilkinson/Bradley Ellis Audi R8 GT3 which cleaned up at Brands Hatch with a trio of victories with the Lamborghini Huracan of Arwyn Williams/Aaron Scott hoping to mix it with the Mosler and Aston Martin this weekend.

Brockdish resident Bonamy Grimes, fresh from securing victory at the recent Aston Martin Le Mans Festival in the GT4 category, will contest the LMP3 Cup along with co-driver Johnny Mowlem with the pair third in the championship.

The pairing have yet to taste victory in the sports prototype category, but on Grimes' home track it might well change, although the leading pairing of Colin Noble/Anthony Wells have looked strong all year.

Mark McAleer and Pete Morris are fresh from victories in the latest round of the Porsche Club Championship, although both suffered problems last time out with the former retiring out of race two while Morris spun out in race one.

Seven wins from eight races has put Paul Platt well in command of the British Superkart Championship and he will be hard to defeat this weekend. Reigning champion Daniel Clark has the distinction of inflicting Platt's only defeat this year but a catalogue of misfortune has been the story of his season.

The MSV Allcomers runners visited Snetterton in March in which Graham Hill managed to secure a pair of victories over a host of Caterham's in which Tony Bennett proved quickest.

Saturday's first race is at 12.25pm with racing resuming at 10.15am on Sunday.
