Liam Morley maintained his unbeaten 2018 British Superkart F125 record with two flawless performances at Snetterton to strength his grip on retaining his title.

Kirk Cattermole did briefly lead the reigning champion in race one on Monday, but for the remainder of the two events Morley led every other lap across the line while Chris Needham tried very hard to dislodge Morley in the early part of race two without success.

Lowestoft's Clint Bridge just missed out on a top-10 place in race one and was in a race-long three-way battle over sixth place in race two before finishing in eighth position.

Steve Kite led every lap of race one across the line but he had both Alex Cursley and Wayne Rockett snapping at his heels – however, he managed to contain both to take the victory in the opening Hyundai Coupe contest.

In race two Kite again triumphed with Rockett relentless in his efforts to displace the leader, without success, with Cursley completing the podium.

The opening MG race fell to David Mellor, who had relieved Simon Kendrick of the early lead and was then left unchallenged when his rival faded into retirement.

In the return contest, Mellor had to pass both Kendrick and Martin Wills before he could claim his second victory while Steve Darby secured his second podium visit by unseating Kendrick on the final lap.

The first Mazda MX5 race fell to Paul Roddison, who had to fight off the close attentions of Jeremy Shipley in the opening laps.

Roddison's second win of the day was much tougher as he had to fight hard for the victory by displacing Shipley, who was at the head of the race for the first half of the event.

Tom Stoten led the Sports 2000 race from start to finish, but he wasn't able to rest for a moment as Michael Gibbins was in his rear view mirrors throughout as Tim Tudor completed the podium constantly shadowed by David Houghton.

A disappointingly small entry contested the Ford Saloon Series with James Ross easily winning the opening race, but he retired out of race two leaving John Cooper in control.
