The Snetterton Mini Festival will celebrate the past and present with exciting racing promised from both the traditional and modern visions of the iconic British car.
Mini Miglia racer Aaron Smith heads the standings after two victories at Pembrey, the first just holding off Colin Peacock, while in the second Smith narrowly finished behind Alfie Brown, who was penalised for a starting infringement and therefore lost the victory.
Current champion, Cambridgeshire's Rupert Deeth, will be hoping to bounce back after a dismal second race at the Welsh circuit to give Smith a tougher time on his local track.
Darren Thomas and Max Hunter shared the Mini Seven spoils, but it's the latter who holds the series lead as he just finished behind Thomas in the first encounter in Wales.
The modern Minis are represented by the Cooper S and Cooper Pro/Am series, with Kyle Reid out to defend his double victory in the latter category claimed at Donington Park. In both events he was pushed hard by Simon Walton and Ethan Pitt while in the concurrent Am section Alex Neville defends his unbeaten 2018 record.
BTCC racer Rob Austin heads to Snetterton having claimed victory in the second Donington race in the Cooper S series, holding Kevin Owen at bay, while race one winner Will Fairclough will not be satisfied with his third and will want revenge on Austin.
The Monoposto single-seater series will offer something different during the weekend with Ben Cater fresh from a hat-trick of victories in the opening round at Donington Park.
However, Ely's Tony Bishop gave Cater a fright in races two and three, leading both for a time until he was unseated by Cater in the first and retired out of the lead of the third. In the second category, wins were shared between Dean Warren, Mark Reade and Nigel Davers.
The Radical SR1 Cup and MSVT Trackday Trophy runners complete the 21 races with historic Formula 1 demos laps both days and a Mini owners cavalcade at the end of the meeting completing the programme, which starts at 12.50pm on Saturday and resumes on Sunday at 9.40am.
