Wesley Fisher starred with bat and ball after an eight-year absence from the game to help Norwich Bystanders A to an exciting six run victory over Old Buckenham thirds in Division Four.

Fisher was one of four players Bystanders had to sign up to fulfil the fixture and wasted no time making his presence felt. With the score on 34 for three he showed some class to score 66 in an acceptable 190 for 4. Old Buckenham appeared well placed to reach their target but fell away towards the end – with that man Fisher returning figures of six for 44. In the same section Great Melton stalwart Tony Alborough, scored 101 – his sixth century for the club – as the C team beat Great Yarmouth A by 132 runs.

In the top flight two centuries were recorded as East Harling beat Bystanders' first team by 40 runs. Rob Free scored 113 in Harling's total of 247 for three while Peter Wright contributed 109 in a reply of 207 for nine. The top of the table derby clash between leaders Martham and Great Yarmouth was a curious game to say the least. Martham were dismissed for just 88 but still emerged victorious after skittling out their neighbours for 65.

Sajid Ali turned in a superb individual performance as Belton hammered Caister by 199 runs in Division Two. He scored an unbeaten 140 before returning figures of six for 24.
