Martham continued their relentless charge to the Division One title by easing to an eight-wicket victory at Cringleford Lodge.

Alex Sayer took 3-22 as the hosts set 121-9. But it was never going to be enough to stop the unbeaten league leaders, especially when Jack Whatmough cruised to an impressive 71 not out.

Great Yarmouth did their best to stay in touch by thumping Rollesby by 10 wickets. Adam Corey hit 43 while Alex Ellis took 5-20. The seasiders are still a mammoth 70 points behind the early-season pacesetters mind. Horsford B are just four points behind Yarmouth thanks, in large, to Henry Eades' unbeaten 52 in their six-wicket triumph at basement boys Norwich Bystanders. The strugglers' defeat would have been worse had it not been for Chris Askew's excellent unbeaten 73.

In Division Two, Blundeston, who lead, and Kirkley & Lowestoft Railway won again as did third-placed Felthorpe at Sprowston B. Matty Doyle came close to a sensational ton but had to settle for 93 not out for the third-placed outfit.

Boys with the ball Alfie James (4-10) and Dan Pollard (4-15) were the headline makers in the third tier. The latter's Costessey side humbled Hales & Loddon A by 10 wickets while the former's James' Bungay A triumphed by the same margin against Rackheath.

Reepham & Salle continue to keep ahead of North Elmham in Division Four as a result of their latest victory. The league leaders saw off Old Buckenham B by eight wickets to remain 24 points ahead of their nearest challengers.

Dominant force Hethersett & Tas Valley B ensured their 100pc record will go on for another week at least as they squeezed past mid-table Halvergate by 24 runs.

Ross Jones scored 68 for Tas but it was all-rounder Andy Baker (35 not out and 4-38) who took the plaudits for his match-winning display.

Owen Gooch (60) and Jordan Webster (70no) showed their prowess with the bat as Acle B chased down Garboldisham's total of 173-6 for the loss of only two wickets. Their team-mate Toby Adams (3-9) had done the damage before they got to work.

Brisley B still lead the way after smashing 219-5 against Rollesby A.

North Walsham & Bacton suffered the embarrasment of being skittled for 41 in Division Seven. They must have been cursing Neil Muirhead who walked off having taken figures of 6-14.

And in the bottom tier, Martin Wall nearly matched Muirhead by taking five wickets, for 12 runs, as Beeston made light work of disposing of Dereham B – who were all out for 88.

Yet they still remain behind Beetley who ensured Swanton Morley could only post 80 themselves to remain at the top of the table going into next weekend's round of matches.
