Spring success for Eve Neild at big Norfolk junior event

The first big junior competition of the year took place at Eaton with the staging of the Junior Girls’ Spring Meeting.

On a dry and often sunny day three events were staged to cater for youngsters with varying abilities.

The 18 hole Stableford for girls up to 36 handicap was won by Eve Neild from Royal Norwich with 40 points. Nellie Ong from Eaton was second on 38 while Pippa Hill from Marriott Sprowston Manor and Chloe Gibbs from Royal Norwich were third and fourth respectively on 35 points.

The nine hole Stableford for girls with and without a handicap was won by Maisy Beales from Middleton Hall with 18 points from Lilia Copeman (Bawburgh) with 14. A nine hole Greensomes Stableford for girls partnering an adult was won by Libby and Richard Ong from Eaton with 18 points.
