Norfolk travelled in the early hours to Wales to play Montgomery and Radnor in their last away game of the season, hoping for another good result to keep them in Division Three.
Norfolk Ladies B fought well, but lost 4-2, with Kerry Jobson taking the Lady of the Match award.
The men had a terrific game, drawing 6-6, with Julian Ray the man of the match. There was a senior men's debut for 14-year-old Nathan Potter, who produced.
Being 10-8 down going into day two, Norfolk's A team needed to play at their best. The Ladies A showed why they are now top of the A division by winning 5-1, with Sandra Page winning 3-0, hitting a 180 and taking lady of the match with a 23.48 average. But the men were well beaten 9-3 by a very strong side, with Glenn West man of the match.
The overall score saw Norfolk lose 20-16, but with two home games remaining, captain Kevin Rudling is confident the county can stay in Division Three.
