The start of July saw a change at the head of Division One of the Norfolk Cricket League as Castle Rising took advantage of Sandringham's loss to Saxlingham, Oli Browne (67) and Matt Rennie (4-28) starring.

Rising beat Castle Acre thanks to Rob Child's 62 and Makesh Sahakhi's 4-30. Overstrand comfortably beat local rivals Happisburgh whilst Kirkley & Belton were indebted to Abdul Rehman's 82 and Chris Lambert's 5-32 as they overcame Great Yarmouth, while St Andrews edged out Felthorpe by a single run.

Narborough march on In Division Two West, Matt Coe shining in their win with 87no. Great Ellingham successfully defended 97, while Garboldisham and East Harling were the other winners.

In Two East, leaders Caister were called off against Cringleford, and Southwold moved to second due to skipper Sam Booker's 42 and 4-33. Tim Moorse took 5-25 for Sprowston B in their victory, while Aylsham's Steve Richards (5-14) and Iqbal Hussain (4-28) whipped out Gillingham for 48. Eaton were the other winners in the division.

Saham Toney head Three West, Xavier Huckle smashing 129, while Dan Blackmuir took 5-13 as Sandringham A keep up their pursuit. Matt Friend took 4-20 for Swaffham A.

Rollesby remain unbeaten in Three East, veteran Jimmy Catchpole starring with 33no and 4-29, while Kirkley & Belton edged past Frettenham by just two runs to stay in touch. Sol Blazer cracked 88 for Acle B.

Mellis swamped Rocklands A to top Three Central, while Ashley Taylor hit 111no for New Buckenham. Malayalees stayed in touch as Ajesh Jose took 4-18 and hit 36 in their win.

Hockwold A lead Four North West, despite the efforts of Dersingham's Mike Hazel as they won by two wickets.

Coltishall head Four North East, Jonathan Browne (88*), Mark Burrows (4-18) and Andy Painter (4-4) starring in their win, while Ian Parkin took 5-10 in Overstrand A's victory, and Josh Randall, 14, took 5-14 for Sprowston C.

Bungay head Four South East, Callum Clarke grabbing 6-26 in their win, while Colney's Robin Wintle took 4-16 in their match, and Blundeston A finally notched up a win.

In Four South West, Nick Asher scored 101no and Arthur Johnson grabbed 5-9 for Garboldisham C, while Dave Probert starred for Hardingham B with 94.
