Last season's double winners Saxlingham remain on course to defend both their crowns at the halfway mark of the season in the Norfolk Cricket League, sponsored by Ashburnham Solicitors.

They marched back to the top of the league as they brushed aside Reepham and Salle, Craig Beeden top scoring with 52.

Earlier in the week Ross Bilham grabbed 56 as Saxlingham easily beat East Harling in the Tom Bartram T20 Cup second phase.

Morning leaders St Andrews were toppled by Kirkley & Belton, while early season pacesetters Caister lost at Narborough, Jack Crisp scoring 50 for the hosts, with Paul French hitting 67 for the visitors.

Southwold were indebted to Gareth Gorst-Allman's 104 in their run chase against Felthorpe. Earlier Craig Gorst-Allman claimed 4-35.

Castle Rising's Rob Wilson led the way in their win over Overstrand, scoring 43 and taking 3-19. Chris Winterbone cracked 73, while Billy Yarham (4-41) and Neil Yarham (4-74) in vain for the visitors.

Aylsham St Giles look unstoppable in Two East, James Bullimore taking 4-13 in their latest win whilst Halvergate stay in second.

Hapless Gillingham were shot out for 25, Mark Chapman doing the damage for Great Yarmouth. Rollesby finally won, thanks to Aaron Brooks 62no, and despite Neil Barker's 5-43 for Eaton. Happisburgh easily beat Drayton, Aaron Underwood cracking 62, while Adam Larter (4-21) and James Parsons (4-22) did the damage with the ball. Bharath Ramakrishna grabbed 59 and Dean Matthewson 4-46 for Drayton.

In Two West, Castle Acre and Sandringham could not start as a serious car crash left four Sandringham players having to go to hospital to be checked for injuries – thankfully all were fine.

Chris Farrant (61) led Mellis to another win, while Saxon Earley (4-35) starred for Great Melton B in their victory. Josh Lincoln with 64 helped Garboldisham to a narrow one wicket win over Beeston.

Sprowston B head Three East in the Norfolk League by a mere three points as they overcame morning leaders Martham A.

Giles Kerkham's 102 helped Sprowston B to the win along with Will Hampson's 75 and 4-35, with Kaushiak Trivedi chipping in with 4-30. Gary Evans hit a defiant 52 for the visitors.

Hingham march on in Three Central, while Dave Armstrong crashed 99 for Ketteringham Hall to leave them in second. Three West looks congested as Thornham slipped up against Beetley, Michael Calvert hitting 80 for the visitors. Snettisham A are second, in between Thornham and Beetley.

Boughton remain undefeated in Level Four West, Neil Irwin taking 5-23 in their latest win, while Heacham remain in second, Adam Darlow hitting 54no for them. Old Catton A head Four East from Brooke B, who also remain unbeaten thanks to Simon Cushing's 83no.

Aldborough head Four North ahead of Reepham & Salle A, while Four South sees Bystanders A still top, ahead of Colney, despite slipping up at Hingham A. Star performance in Level Four was Caitlin Ellis of Great Melton C, who took 7-15 in their win.
