As the more spring-like weather prevails, this week has been all about buzzers at Rocklands Mere Fishery.
Notable catches include Patrick Larke from Attleborough who banked 18 rainbows on Friday, all on buzzers while Jimmy Sayer from Wymondham used both damsel and buzzer patterns to land nine rainbows.
The weather provided near perfect conditions for the casting clinic on Sunday. Newcomer to the sport Paul East picked up some top tips from James on buzzer fishing and moments later landed his first RMF trout to a small black buzzer.
Norfolk & Suffolk Flyfishers at East Tuddenham enjoyed their most successful week of the year, both in numbers of visitors and fish caught. No really large fish have come to the net, but virtually everyone has banked a limit bag with the fish easy to spot as they have been rising on both lakes right throughout the day with several anglers taking double limits – including 'trout magnet' Alan Binmore and Gordon Hughes.
