CHRIS LAKEY
The summer transfer window closed at midnight last night, without Norwich City boss Peter Grant adding to his squad.
Grant - who has signed eight players plus one on loan during the summer - has been looking for midfield and central defensive cover, but has refused to break the bank to bring players in.
And while the deadline for signing players on permanent deals has passed, there is still time to sign loan players - which is what Grant seems likely to do.
“We are making a lot of phone calls but, yet again, I think a lot of people are in a similar boat,” he said. “I am loath to buy just for the sake of buying for one or two games.”
