The rehabilitation of Norfolk cyclist Victoria Williamson has moved up a gear as her recovery from career-threatening injuries picks up pace.
The former Norwich High School for Girls pupil broke her neck, back and pelvis, and sustained a deep cut to her right flank, in Amsterdam in January 2016, causing her to miss last summer's Olympics.
Her rehabilitation has continued to go well though and the 23-year-old is targeting competing at the Commonwealth Games in Australia next April.
Last week the 23-year-old received a boost when she retained her place in British Cycling's Olympic Podium Programme for the women's team sprint and this week she began work at the intensive rehabilitation unit at Bisham Abbey Sports Centre.
Williamson took to Twitter to say: 'My next chapter started today @BishamAbbeyNSC IRU. Nice to surprise some people with my current capabilities. Hard work pays off.'
