Mulbarton's Tristan Cliffe went to the Anglesey circuit hoping for a good points return in his quest to become the inaugural MSV F3 Cup Champion but had a frustrating day.
The first race saw Cliffe get a reasonable start but he ended up finishing fifth. Race two was one to forget as he was forced to retire after his car started to overheat following a spin, with a small fire having to be extinguished.
Cliffe has two weeks to repair the car before the penultimate weekend on the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit where he will be hoping for better luck.
His team, Omicron Motorsport, maintains its lead at the top of the team championship
